Toscanalyzer is a free and comprehensive audio analyzer that will provide you with a wide selection of graphical information about your music files. The main purpose of this incredibly useful tool is to give you a detailed visual representation of your tracks so that you can detect any imperfection, effects, or nuances present in your music and deal with them in a simpler and more intuitive way.
Toscanalyzer will show you where exactly within the audio file those tiny variations or noises are located, so that you can isolate them and decide what to do with them. It not only analyzes the music, but tells you how it compares to similar tracks or to the other tracks on the album. Its “Lightbox” is where you open all the audio files you want to analyze and/or compare. You can have as many files opened simultaneously as needed, each showing you a simple waveform preview. You can click on any of them and move to the heart of the program – the analyzer. Here you will be shown around eight different graphical representations of each audio file, providing you with more information than most people can take in or understand. Among other interesting data, you will see a scalable representation of the PCM data, the RMS, the peak level, K-System meter readings, a frequency band analysis, a spectral representation of the audio complete with frequency and tonal scaling, and many, many more. The quality of the visual information is of a very high level, allowing you to have various tracks represented in the same graphic for comparison purposes. more
